Las Vegas is a place to pretty much celebrate anything, and the Fourth of July is no exception. Over 323K people are expected to visit Sin City over the holiday weekend, and officials are already warning about the heavy traffic that will come along with it. But if you’re willing to brave the crowds there is plenty to do in one of the world’s top party hubs to celebrate Independence Day. Don your red, white and blue, grab a tiny flag and hit one of these can’t-miss, Fourth of July events.
The Plaza Pool Nights Fourth of July Party downtown will take place three whole days before the actual holiday, filling Saturday with live entertainment, drink specials, a barbecue buffet and fireworks show that will make the neons of Fremont Street look like natural night. There will be live music all day at the pool, and a performance from 80s tribute band “Flashbax” in the evening. The “Firework cocktail” (made with Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Colada Rum and Blueberry Lemonade Vodka) will be selling 2/$10 starting at 7 p.m. and an all-you-can-eat buffet will feature chicken, ribs, brisket, potatoes, baked beans, cornbread and more. Fireworks will kick off at 10:45 p.m. Guests must be at least 21 years old. RSVP for free here.

Take your party to new heights at Beer Park’s rooftop bar and grill at the Paris Hotel & Resort. This is definitely an adult function, with all the classically American food and brews you can imagine spread out over a 10,000-square-foot deck with HD TVs, pool tables and 36 beers on tap. Hot dog and ice cream carts will stop by your table while you gulp down beer buckets. Come hungry and dine on casual fare like waffle fries smothered in cheese and pulled pork; shrimp po’boys, and mac & cheese egg rolls. A DJ will keep you entertained until 9 p.m. when the high vantage point will provide a great view of the annual fireworks over Caesars Palace. For more information call 702-444-4500. Reservations can be made here.

By July, temperatures are topping 100 degrees everyday in Nevada and there is nothing wrong with wanting to escape to a little water oasis. Sunday, July 2nd will mark The Village at Lake Las Vegas’ annual Independence Day Celebration from 2 – 10 p.m. which, of course, features a massive fireworks display over the lake accompanied by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra. If you want to get up close and personal with the marvelling lights, book a reservation to join the paddle swim or grab a kayak and see the fireworks from the water. Live music starts at 6 p.m. and features the orchestra and Southern Stue, a southern rock band, performing on floating stages. Tickets to the paddle swim include glow sticks and LED neon lights. After the paddle there will be music on the tiki torch-lit white sand beach at Reflection Bay. For more information, click here.

The LINQ celebration is kicking off a few days early with a weekend-long party, thanks to a Tuesday holiday. An “All-American BLOQ Party” will take place on Saturday and Sunday, and all the while the open-air dining and retail options will remain bustling. A patriotic parade will start at noon on both days, featuring baton twirlers, a drumline, flag performers, stilt walkers, dancers, hula hoop performers and patriotic cheerleaders. The party doesn’t end with the parade, and the whole day will feature balloon artists, face painters, caricature artists and games lining the road. Drink specials will be offered at various restaurants and bars along the promenade. As far as live entertainment, a drumline will perform at 6 p.m., followed by Gloria Vivelo and Thrillbill. On Sunday, July 2nd, a fireworks display over Caesars Palace will start around 9 p.m. For more information on the promenade, click here.
