Expensive doesn’t always mean special, and flashy doesn’t always mean romantic. There are plenty of ways to spice up a traditional Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas, so check out these specials and ideas for February. 14th.
Remember: it’s the thought that counts. Mostly.
Sure, you could go for a Gondola ride at the Venetian, and it’s a perfectly fine alternative if you’re dedicated to staying on the Strip, but if you want a little less cheesy and a little more bang for your buck, take the 17 mile trip to the lake and really impress your date. You can have drinks, dinner, and kiss when passing under the Pontes Vecchio bridge. If you’re looking to go above and beyond, opt for the message in a bottle service where you can write your significant other a note and fish it out of the water. The gondola ride starts at $135 for two guests.

It can be stressful deciding where to take a date, how much money to spend and what to order, especially on a special occasion. Skip the indecision and take out the uncertainty with a dinner at the top of the Palms Casino. Alizé executive chef Chris Bulen is presenting a multi-course Valentine’s Day menu with handcrafted dishes and a decadent dessert duo from 5 p.m – 10 p.m. on the special day. Five courses total, including the Amuse Bouche, offer options like Spice Crusted Venison Carpaccio, Heirloom Quinoa Cake and Braised Iberico Pork Cheeks. The price is $165 per person and reservations are available. A wine pairing is available for an additional $65 per person and a sparkling wine toast for an additional $10.
Location: 4321 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas.
Get high above the lights of Vegas with a romantic helicopter tour that will give you and your date a little privacy, something that is relatively rare on the packed streets of the city. The night starts off with a champagne toast, then whisks you away with your partner. It’s not as expensive as it sounds – priced at less than $100 per person after the Valentine’s Day special. Maverick Tours offers this romantic package and the ride lasts about 15 minutes.
Location: 6075 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas.
This isn’t something you do for just anyone, but if you’re looking to drop $30,000 on your special someone check out the lavish Valentine’s Day package at Encore’s Asian restaurant Andrea’s. “The Rose” package is offered only on Valentine’s Day, and couples sit in the private booth once shared by Taylor Kinney and Lady Gaga, dine on an exclusive tasting menu and work their way through a bottle of Dom Pérignon Rosé. You’ll get out of buying a gift too – the package comes with his and her 18-karat Rolex Datejust Rose Gold and Stainless Steel Fluted Bezel Diamond Dial/Jubilee Bracelet watches. Spicy tuna roll with snow crab, oyster tempura lettuce cups and petite filet mignon with blood orange, sweet soy and mustard miso have been offered on the menu in the past. If you can’t splurge quite that much, try “The Kiss” (tasting menu and sparkling toast for $85 per person) or “Lover’s Lane” (tasting menu, foie gras for two and chocolate-covered strawberries for $120 per person).
