A mimosa is nice and all, but sometimes you just need something a little more hearty. Even the average Bloody Mary will up your veggie consumption with tomato juice and run-of-the-mill celery, but if you want a drink that also subs as an appetizer, check out these four Vegas spots where you can garnish your vodka with all sorts of crazy toppers.
Todd English P.U.B has a marketing team from the Gods and is recognizable only for its “Bloody Mary Experience.” You can go with one of the three already-organized, tried and true options: Meat n Potato Mary (bourbon, beef broth, tomato juice, worcestershire and steak sauce, topped with waffle fries, bacon, salami, scallions and black olives), the All About Mary (vodka, tomato juice and worcestershire topped with a slider, crispy chicken wing, chilled shrimp, corn dog pup, stuffed olives, celery, carrot and pickled asparagus), or the Bodacious Blonde (tomato basil infused vodka, organic yellow tomatoes, champagne vinegar, worcestershire, olive brine, hot sauce, dragon chili, jalapeno, lemon, lime and stuffed green olives).
Or if those aren’t exactly what you’re looking for, make your own from a list of ingredients that includes shrimp, lobster and beef jerky. The Bloodies are only available on Saturday and Sunday.
Location: 3720 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas.
You can pick whatever you want at Todd’s, but if you want the drink crafted right in front of you check out the Bloody Mary cart at Fleur in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The cart comes to your table and lets you craft your own beverage as part of their new “Hangover Cocktail Menu” which also includes endless mimosas and a “Pain Keller” made with pyrat rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, coco lopez and nutmeg. The bloody is sure to help with your hangover and be your perfect degree of spiciness, but it won’t quite serve as a meal.
Check out mouth-watering options like an Angus short rib benedict served with crispy potato cake, red wine jus and jalapeño Hollandaise or red velvet pancakes with cream cheese butter and maple syrup to cure your hunger.
Location: 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas.
HEXX offers a number of stupendous bloody marys, but one stands tall above the rest (literally). The Colossal costs a pretty penny ($38), but comes with basil-infused vodka, bloody mary mix, jumbo shrimp, an Alaskan king crab leg, bacon, a beef stick, peppers and pickled vegetables. It comes in a mini pitcher and is available until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays.
Other bloodys include the Farmers Market (bacon-infused gin, bloody mary mix, celery salt, a pepper-stuffed olive, beef stick, bacon and cheddar), El Diablo (citrus tequila, bloody mary mix, tamarind, chili-spiced rim, tapatio and corona) and the Vegalicious (house spicy vodka, V8, a citris pepper rim, pickled green beans and asparagus.
Location: 3655 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas.
Tom’s has a little bit of everything, and while it only offers one signature bloody, it’s worth the visit. The Bacon Bourbon Bloody Mary is made with beacon Jim Beam bourbon (which we didn’t even know existed), house-made bloody mary mix, and a cream cheese schmear.
After you’ve tasted that concoction, try their other brunch beverages like the Beergria (Blue Moon, Angry Orchard, agave nectar and angostura Bitters), the Blackbeard (rum, house-made blackberry ginger ale and fresh blackberries) or the Cactus Ass Kick (herradura tequila, hibiscus syrup, prickly pear and lemonade). The “Most of the Day Brunch Menu” includes house-made pop tarts, lemon poppy seed blueberry pancakes and salted caramel skillet french toast.
Location: 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas.
The Mr. Lucky’s Bloody Mary in The Hard Rock is getting a little ridiculous when it comes to their beverage toppers. This drink, made with Belvedere vodka and house bloody mary mix, comes topped with a deviled egg, pickle, shrimp, beef jerky, lime, olive and a breakfast slider made with cheese and bacon stuffed between two mini waffles. It’s a good deal – for $20 you get a drink, an appetizer and to keep the glass. This drink is available at all hours, so bloodys aren’t just for breakfast anymore.
Location: 4455 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas.
